Relative importance is obviously something that we can each attach to things dependent on our values and tastes.
The petting zoo of the favourite classical repertoire is not as important to me as a ham sandwich if I am hungry, but those are imposed choices.
One thing is only more or less important than another if you ask the question.
"Would you rather have more funding for the arts or another 5 years of war in Iraq?" might be a more interesting question to ask.
