RE: I have a flashbulb memory of my first audition of the "ESL-57" :)

I had similar experience. Purchased my first pair from Mel Schilling in Jenkintown, Pa. These were one of the first sets of speakers in the USA. Then purchased an second pair from Soundscape in 1977. Tried an HQD type setup and it was a mess. Now have a PK pair of 57's for the last 13 years and could not be happier.
