"Differences between well recorded CD and hi-rez (SACD or PCM) are minute, if any." Incorrect in the extreme!

Redbook 16 Bit 44.1kHz CDs as well as 24 Bit 48kHz PCM (from DVD-A or SACD) have an aggressively shrill upper midrange and rolled off high frequency response. PCM 24 Bit 88.2kHz and higher, DSD and Analog usually have a very smooth beautiful midrange with sharp transient attacks in the high percussion instruments as well as a light delicacy and spaciousness in the high frequencies.

PMC from 44.1kHz is as different sounding to PCM at 96kHz as 8-track cartridge is to Reel to Reel. If you can’t hear the improved resolution and more comfortable sound of high-resolution digital or analog it is either your ears or your equipment. Because the rest of us can hear the HUGE difference! and are willing to pay extra for it.

Just consider this:

Why do DVD-Audios from 24 Bit 48kHz sound terrible and DVD-Audios from 24 Bit 96kHz mostly sound excellent?

Why do SACDs from 16 Bit 44.1kHz and 24 Bit 48kHz masters sound terrible and SACDs from 24 Bit 96kHz, DSD and Analog masters mostly sound excellent?
