General audio topics that don't fit into specific categories.

Don't know, but now-a-days bet he wished he'd picked a different

endorsement for his #8 - The Power Conditioner Lie.

"Just about all that needs to be said on this subject has been said by Bryston in their owner’s manuals:

“All Bryston amplifiers contain high-quality, dedicated circuitry in the power supplies to reject RF, line spikes and other power-line problems. Bryston power amplifiers do not require specialized
power line conditioners. Plug the amplifier directly into its own wall socket.”"

Skip forward in time to 2006 and as reported by Robert Deutsch:

"I think it's fair to say that Bryston is one of the more conservative manufacturers of audio electronics, with solid engineering and avoidance of anything that smacks of fads or esoteric tweaks. It then comes as a convincing endorsement of power-line conditioners as a product category that the Canadian company now distributes the new Torus power-line conditioners." (link provided).

My reaction .... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!
