enhance their converstion, and it seems more friendly and harmless. It places them in a very specific pre-teen, and teen group which they can relate/belong to. Come on psgary, you know what a torture it must be to sound like one's parents!!! The horror of it all!
When I hear adults talk in that manner, I thank my lucky stars that they have given me a clear and distinguishable insight into their nature. A warning if you will. Flashing Light: NOT MUCH HERE.
I was talking to my four year old niece, and she used the term "for real" after I told her something. She said her teacher said it a lot.
When I told her teacher the story, she said, and I quote, "for real!" I can't hold it against her, she's a real sweety pie; you would have to be to work with four year olds! I just accept that that's her "default" way of responding and letting others know their input was recieved (maybe not processed, however).mp
