Re: Has anyone's mind ever been changed by a DBT debate here?

"...or their position on audible differences of anyone you know?
In what, 25 years of these debates, it is unlikely anyone's mind has ever been changed. And yet the debating goes on."

Unfortunaly the joke is on those who hold the audiophile subjectivist viewpoint, In over 25 years, they not being able to provide anything beyond I know what I hear to substantiate their position, and in those years, the evidence has stacked up against them. The quesion still remains, what do you need to "see" what you are "listening" to?

Of course, audiophhile do not have to prove anything to anybody, neither do observers of the audiophile fantasy have to apologise for regarding a lot of audiophiles as deluded crackpots. Of course, the real issue is that audiophiles desire mainstream acceptability, but they will never get it because a lot of what they hold as true is pure rubbish, a quick peruse at the right documents by the midly curious immediately establishes that.

As an aside, my personal favourite of the audiophile fantasies are "ears are the most sensitive measuring instruments", If only...
