Has anyone's mind ever been changed by a DBT debate here?

...or their position on audible differences of anyone you know?

In what, 25 years of these debates, it is unlikely anyone's mind has ever been changed. And yet the debating goes on.

There is no chance of winning any arguement with guys like Mr. Nut, PatD and their ilk or even having them concede a point you've made.

They don't play that way - they just play debate games. Strike, engage, dodge, obfuscate, twist words, disappear.

Their only goal is to start an arguement where they think they can show themselves to be superior. After all they have 'science' on their side - even if it is pseudoscience.

They are only fooling themselves.

As audiophiles we don't have to prove audible differences to anyone but ourselves.

If they want proof, let them perform DBTs on themselves with their mid-fi equipment connected with zip cord (which they believe sounds just as good as the high end stuff).

Of course THEY won't hear any differences.

So why do we let them suck us into these circular arguements which never end?

Because we hope we can change their minds and perhaps they'll start having fun with this hobby like we are.

Sorry, it will never happen.
