Failure to Define the Clock Does Not Mean It Won't Produce Jitter

Whatever is "clocking" the signal at the input of a USB DAC will determine its jitter characteristic. For some reason, the clock in this particualr case seems to be a mystical entity which nobody really knows what it is or what it's doing. You're trying to pass a notion that because the clock is not defined, no jitter is being produced.

Everything that handles or processes a digital signal has an impact on jitter. And being secretive on how the clocking behaves won't change that.
