RE: substantive terminological issue

The best I have found is that jitter can be loosely defined as timing variations in the various sampling clocks used throughout a digital audio system. I found this in an old Stereophile article.

Everything affects the sound. We can learn from each others' experiences. But to attribute every difference we hear to jitter doesn't make sense to me.
