I'd add that the best remastering process in the world cannot add resolution to the recording, only the master, and I prefer to take more notice of the recording studio rather than the mastering.Chesky, Audioquest, Mapleshade etc virtually guarantee excellent sound quality that extends redbook's performance over other studios, which is one of the reasons why the titles from such studios are frequently used for the XRCD treatment.
I'd repeat again though that the price is extortionate when considering that such studios only charge a small premium themselves for such a major increase in sound over titles from yer average studio.
