As I said above, if there is no SACD available of a title that is out on XRCD I would probably buy the XRCD specially if the title was from the Warner or other DVD-A camp company with not much hope of getting to SACD in the near future.

As far as comparison of XRCD and SACD goes presuming that they were both equally as well mastered I don't believe that any "Redbook" CD can approach the sound quality or have the attributes the equivalent SACD. Having said that there are some fabulous "Redbook" CDs out there. For instance, if I couldn't get an SACD of Clapton's 'Unplugged' (not very likely), I would love to see it on XRCD and I'd run out and buy it. I also find the XRCD mastering of Dire Straits 'Brothers In Arms' really good.

I also have a couple of Jacintha SACD titles and really like them a lot.
