Home Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Just visited your vinyl forum. It's a very nice forum. Didn't see any bitching about its perceived negatives.

Aren't you glad that it's not all disrupted by folks coming from other forums bent on tearing down the vinyl medium.

By the way, think about it, "a well known fact in the industry" is just a little silly isn't it. Did you know that it's a well known fact that Monet is better than Van Gough.

By the way, I'm not "you guys", I'm Ken and I speak for myself, not for the forum (although I suspect that I'm not alone).

Also, if I was "flaming" the vinyl folks I'd be talking about clicks, pops, warp distortion, music information being scrubbed away during each playing, having symphonies and other works being interrupted because of the need to get up every 20 minutes to invert, replace, and clean, LPs (my experience four times yesterday listening to Bach's Goldberg Variations). No, I'm not flaming, I'm asking you folks to please NOT pick up on every SACD issue discussion on this forum and interrupt it by turning it into a vinyl vs. SACD issue. If nothing else, it's just not polite. For that matter, it's just plain rude. It's like having a meeting on specific engineering issues being interrupted by the marketing manager who insists on talking about product features and benefits or the fact that a certain customer isn't happy with his equipment purchase.

Just my thoughts on the issue,

Ken
