Yeah they are beautiful. My friend's 3 box Emitter I HD looks identical but smaller. What do you make of HP's comments about the amp sounding a bit dark? If you agree, can you speculate on where this darkness may be coming from (it certainly isn't due to limiited bandwidth)? In listening to the emitter I HD I found that it does have a hint of darkness but only a hint compared to some I have heard. This bit of darkness seems slightly absorptive in nature but also seems to confer a nice sense of depth from which sounds originate. However, the back of the hall (with appropriate recordings) are not as brightly lit up yet still well defined.
