Hi Quint,The models that were exported to the States (that is the 2005 models) were called Exclusive. In Europe they were simply called Emitter II HD.
End of 2004 they came out with an improved model called Emitter II HD 2005. Six months later there was the very much improved Emitter II Exclusive(same name for Europe and the States). This one will also be tested by Absolute Sound. They have already got it and right now they are breaking it in.I once had an older model Emitter II from 1996 and this one sounded very dull and slow. The new Exclusive is neither slow nor dark. It is very open , fast and dynamic. It sounds like a tube amp with solid state for bass and pressure. The music never tires you like some amps do. This latest model should remain unaltered for a long time, but you never know.
