Instead of a subwoofer, would the larger 2912 be a better choice for orchestral? Don't quite get Mahler's 9th, but I do love 1-5. Still don't listen above 85 dB peaks, and probably 75 dB on average. And I am in no way a bass freak, my Avalons provide all I need. I have absolutely no interest in trying to recreate an orchestra in my living room. And I remember when I listened to them in my dealers showroom on the 22 watt Air Tight ATM-211, well, "the walls were shakin', the earth was quakin'"...
