Sorry... should also have mentioned that there is a possibility that the audio system would be located in a spare bedroom at the new place, so room is likely to be quite small (Around 3mx3m - plus or minus a bit).
That was the main rationale for suggesting bookshelf speakers. There is still the small possibility that the system could end up in the main living area, in which case I may retain the maggies...I was considering something like the Spendor Classic 4/5 or KEF LS50 Meta, since these could be located very close to wall. Another thought was the Neat Iota Alpha.
There are also a couple of Australian brands that may be candidates. As an example, I have linked one option below.
