Sure, the 1.7 might take up a bit of space, when positioned for "optimal listening," but? It also can be quickly & rather easily pushed back out of the way, against a wall. In THAT position? They still probably sound "OK" for very casual listening & TV use. When you want "the real deal?" Just pull them forward to the best position & ENJOY! :)
