RE: Maggies, bass traps, and the rear wave

Thanks. I was really excited when I finally got a dedicated audio room (one of the benefits of graduating to empty nester status). Back then I bought a bunch of OC 703, and tried some panels "in the raw". At the time, was running another brand speaker, Thiels 3.0s. I'd had these speakers forever, but could not believe the upgraded bass performance I got out of them with the traps. So you're preaching to the choir :^)

As you can see above, I have plenty of absorption panels. Behind the 6" bass traps are eight 2'x4'x4" wall panels. All of these were built before I went back to my MMGs. If I go with a different bass trap style, and need more OC703, no biggie, I can get extra panels in town for about $2 a square foot.

Can you link the room lense recipe? Will 2" PVC work? I have at least 60+ feet of that left over from a plumbing remodel job, could throw them together this weekend!

I remember reading on another site the comment of system playback levels with vs without room treatment. Right now I can go too loud, and the room overloads, I can see how that will help my situation.
