Exactly my point. IMO the loss through filtration through the screens isn't worth it but as you say, it's a matter of taste. Either way, you've taken a way big step in a new direction here and I applaud you. Your rigid frames go way past the other electronic mods to the heart of improving how the diaphragm functions. The MDF is more like jumping off a pillow vs. jumping off concrete with your frames. I just wish I lived a little closer so I could sneak a listen. Hartwerger is my eyes and ears. :-0Was wondering of you could shiplap the corners with dowels into the face? Seems like you'd get a much bigger surface area to glue. Don't know, I'm an architect not a woodworker. I suspect you may have to quite your day job. :^)
