I'm not really sure anymore. As I recall they were slightly thicker than stock smga panels but not greater than 7/8ths.Wood arrives in different shape from every supplier, so sometimes once planed I wind up with stock almost an inch thick, and other times it's closer to 3/4. I don't remove more than I have to and every frame his hand made, so any given frame I make could be anywhere between 3/4 and an inch. 7/8ths or close to it will probably be the most common thickness.
I'm not sure how I feel about the mmg. You can buy a used smga for what the mmg costs new, although not if everyone keeps buying them like they've been. However I am looking forward to doing one eventually and am curious how far its potential can be stretched.
