I hope Mike is not upset. Hearing that someone doesn't like a 23K amp is not something one hears everyday though, LOL, I'm sure. Personally I would want my friends to be honest. On a related, but far more mortal $note, I had a similar experience two years ago before I switched to vinyl. Looking at my own collection of 1500 CD's, and the audition of 3 brand-spanking new mid-fi CD players: I was honest with myself in that I didn't like the sound. Sounds like an easy thing to realize, but it's not. Not at all. I didn't want to utter or even think such a thing, considering the considerable cost in relation to my income, the fact the the equipment was in place and glowing happily in my living room. It takes guts to admit if I do say so myself.
