I think you need a vacumm platter turntable to get the best out of vinyl and they cost a lot of money. I also think you need an SME V tonearm to get the best out of vinyl. Finally, I think you need a superb phono preamp to get the best out of vinyl. All of these cost a lot of money. I've got $15k invested in my vinyl front-end and it still can't match my digital front-end that cost only one-tenth the price.
