I agree with this statement overall from Mossback ".... more organic musical/PRAT a bit quieter."
It was fairly easy with the lid off to swap the fuses in my CD Transport, swapping directions, not sure if I heard a difference at all, perhaps a bit more clarity in the direction the SR recommends.
Compared to a stock glass fuse in my CDT, the glass fuse seems a bit more detailed at first but lacks the warmth and bloom on the SR Purple. Installing the Purple back in the smooth but detailed sound comes through, warm but not too much, more bloom, just more organic and musical.
Moving on to my DAC, that was such a pain to get to and tearing apart a fairly pricey DAC already made me a bit nervous especially as hard as it is to get to the fuse. I made the decision to just leave the Purple in place in the correct orientation and put the DAC back together, done.
On my amp which came with a SR Orange when I bought it when I changed over to the Purple on the first day it was like wow, things really opened up, especially in the mids and highs. Again I tried changing direction but still couldn't reliable tell a difference, reinstalled the Purple in the correct orientation and called it a day.
One thing I may do is try swapping the Purple for the Orange on my amp again in the near future now that everything has settled, but I will save that for another day.
Bought on the buy 2 get on free sale, they are still expensive to me, but they do make a difference.
