For a little more than two years I've owned the cheaper Audio Aero Prima CD-player (it's the player you can see on the picture). Last month I got the opportunity to try the more expensive Audio Aero Capitole 24/196 mk.2 player. It is more expensive but also a much better player in all respects (in Norway it costs about $7000). I have never heard a CD-player with a sound as close to vinyl as the Capitole. I have now ordered the Capitole and hope to get it before Christmas....To compare the Capitole to your Sony is almost impossible for me.
But some years ago I owned a Sony CDP-X 559ES. It had a much brighter sound, especially in the treble than the Capitole. This is an older and cheaper model of your XA7ES.Thank you for your nice words about my web site! But I have to admit: sometimes it is raining also in Norway...
