I ride my Ninja 750 almost every day

At 41 I am not as crazy as I was 20 years ago, but I still ride fast get my knee down once in a while. And yes, I have a wife and three small kids.

Dangerous is all in how you look at it. I have several friends that ride and others that do not. From the outside motorcycles seem scary and dangerous. I have been riding on the street for many hundreds of thousands of miles since I was 15. I have had a couple of accidents and in my 20's I had a couple of friends killed. Always it was while doing really stupid things. As I have gotten older I ride within my capabilities not outside like I used to. Also as I have gotten older my skills have increased so I am more in control than I used to be.

Motorcycles are in my blood, I would not be happy without one. I know this is not justification, but in the last two years I have had two friends one late 30's one early 40's die from cancer. Another in his early 40's was killed in a car accident and finally one died falling off a ladder while working on the house.

There are no guarantees in life and you have to make your own choices as to what is important, but my takeaway from the past year is that I do not climb ladders or trees any more without my motorcycle helmet on regardless of how stupid I look

Cheers
