most of my stuff isn't new, and most major changes last decade have been mods and room tweaks!!!!!

I mean, some complete RC*, responded in a Stereophool forum thread that he - 'couldn't take me seriously' - 'cos I had >25 yr old spkrs#!?

A rich - '$$$$$ is the ONLY measure of seriousness as a phile' - type of Richard Cranium, mind.

No, I did NOT replace the caps, they were already good sounding for the money, being Philips encapsulated yellow block MF polycarbs. In the late 1970's???? yes!

NB I did buy them 'instead of' black mesh ELS 57's, NS1000M's, METs OR LS3/5As OR DM5's - PLUS 2 sub/stands.

Maybe if I'd bought 57's? he'd have took me serious. BTA they would certainly have 'gone off' by now, and need a complete rebuild!

To sum up. If most (80%) of stuff is crap, then most of the stuff 'philes chase their tails about is, too. Especially way too many vocal 'objectivists'.

I'm a professional measurer of humans, and their systems, AND a 'subjectivist leaning' audiophile, as you might realise.
