Re: 15 years as an audiophile, calling it quits.

As best as I can remember I am on my sixth system since I bought my first system in 1965. That was a Dual TT, Fisher 500C receiver and a pair of AR3's. I discovered CD's in 1984 and was pleased to get rid of the tic's and pops, but I kept my records.

The reason that I stroll thru the past is to make the point that I have had a lot of changes during that time as my interest waxed and waned. Even today there are sometimes that I prefer watching a DVD to playing records or CD's. I listen to more Jazz that I used to and I have a hell of a lot more music on the shelves of different types than I thought I would.

Even though my hearing is failing I really enjoying hearing the improvements that I have gotten in the upgrades over the years.
So I enjoy the music and the equipment. I have been thinking recently do I enjoy the equipment or the music more. I have to believe that in my case is about equal. I do enjoying going to live events, even if I dislike the crowds and parking problems.

I think the best advice I can give you is not sell your records.
