You seem to be bent on repeating your same experiment with larger, more expensive drivers. I don't know what you're looking for in "bass", but before you sink more money into this, have you thought about trying your drivers in boxes? I've owned the Alpha's, tried OB's, and tried boxes, and preferred boxes. See if you can borrow something, (just for a science experiment), around 1.5-2 cu.ft., and try them in there, OR, try adding wings to your OB's. (cardboard or foamboard, and blue masking tape ought to do the trick for just a listen.
