audioAl I find it hard to believe you service and build computers if you couldn't realize that fidelizer does not "take over" your browser, it simply changes your home page in your browser options if you keep the "Set Windows X's Live as default homepage" option checked upon launching fidelizer (checked by default). To change this back, you simply go into your browser's options and change the home page back. I agree it's annoying that fidelizer has this option default checked, however, and it seems a bit disingenuous to even have it as a option to begin with.
As for the desktop icon, you can always just create a shortcut.
