"If I were you, I'd gladly proclaim formal apology to Windows X in my own forum"
I am 100% fine with this.
Maybe a remark for "whatever" clarity; This is a small excerpt from the release notes of the Feb 21 version of XXHighEnd :
"Having said the above about 'new users', things like this won't happen without a license. It's a bit similar to the Processor Core Appointment (but worse) : when some piece of software changes the behaviour of your PC all over, you'd better know what you are doing, and that you are doing this on purpose. And the other way around : if you need help on "what is happening !", we better have the feeling from our side that helping out has been payed for somehow - that this is good for the objective of the best sound possible - and that 'you', that paying user, is dedicated for that. 'Can claim the help' or something like that, progression on all as a trade."
So, this is my general idea about such an approach, not being 100% sure it is the right thing to do, meaning : I can make it free just the same, progression at this moment getting not as fast because not as many people having (free) access to it. At first I thought "fine, because now people can try it by means of Fidelizer", but thinking on how things compare (like I think you suggested) it's another matter again.
Still not sure about the approach, also to keep in mind that it's hardly commercial to just take something like this out at using the free version.
In any case I thought that it would FIRST of all need a reset back to the normal environment, which -honestly- I did not make yet. Whether you have that or not I don't know, but I guess "we" should ...
