The pictures that Dave sent me were most helpful. Being a barely ok solderer and novice DIYer, there's no way I could've done it without the extra help he offered.
You mentioned "...remembering Moncrief's advice about bypass caps around electrolytics I added some rel caps (1 -2 uf) and some .047 uf's and a (I think) 18000 pf all plastic construction." Your approach to the caps mod has really piqued my interest. However, as you probably have guessed by now, I have a very difficult time doing DIY projects without pictures or detailed instruction. If you don't want to upload pictures of your own work, can you please kindly give me a link to something similar?
