1st thoughts

It's late. But first thoughts with some loud electronic type music is that I like this XX player very much. I used the same individual songs wav files for both players. I played the Orbital - All Together album, only one I've ripped to multi-wav so far since XX won't play cue/wav (single big wav of whole album). No digital vol control in foobar path and no vol as far as i can see in XX. Before I comment, the XX seemed to play back louder? Maybe why I thought it sounded so good :)... im not yanking out the spl tonight. Just a quick post that The sound stage changed, expanded forward, kept same good depth. Music a bit more whole sounding and 3d.. nice defined bass different than/beat? foobar in quick back and forth. And best...I think I relaxed a bit more with XX.. took an edge off? Almost like getting a xover aligned better. dammit i'ma listen again later and i may take this all back... i hate making snap judgements

If I do like XX better ... i sure hope it supports cue/wav files later... dang 1400 or more wav/cue files to rerip to multi-wav... say it ain't so.
