Abe, Roon displayed the ultraRendu as the endpoint for the downstairs zone before I removed it and connected USB direct to the QB-9. My question: What value does the ultraRendu add and should I put it back?
I had a handsome steel and glass rack modified to accept casters and loaded the top shelf with my beloved Ayre C-5xeMP, the second shelf with the KX-5xeMP, and the bottom shelf with the QB-9 DSD and Mini. The ultraRendu and LPS 1.2 could share the bottom shelf, perhaps with a plexiglass bridge, without detracting from the handsomeness of the rack. The JC 1s sit on the floor between the LS50s. You accuse me of constantly changing things, but the rack is in our living room so optics matter. I think I finally have a handsome rack of equipment with sound that's equivalently handsome.
