Though I'm wondering if you add much value to the overall discussion
around differences on SQ.
You can't hear a difference with your setup and basically this you confirm with your own equipment.
Your conclusions though are quite generic, in particular when it comes to differences on SQ. And that's a problem.
This is not how "science" works.
You can't ignore the "exemptions"... ...and there are many of them. You can't just ignore thousands of people who experience differences in SQ with playback SW due to whatever reasons.
Perhaps even you are the exemption here.
You do a lot of work. But you steer around the difficult parts.
What's missing is to figure out why players sound different on thousands of installations out there.
This is the subject where the entire industry fails to deliver an answer since years.
It should be easy for you to find somebody, who experienced differences.
You should listen to it. And then you'd run your mesaurements.
