If the data is packetized already when using ethernet and buffered by definition, what is the advantage of disconnecting from the Ethernet? Is is galvanic isolation?
Seems like isolation is all that needs to be added, not the disconnection and further buffering. Disconnection creates problems for playback features, such as skip forwards and backwards.
