Hi, I've got both the Visaton B200 and Hemp FR8 (I think replaced by a new model). And I've got the Feastrex D5nf. I know it would be unfair to compare the Feastrex to the Visaton or Hemp (or Lowther DX4,DX55, Fostex 208ESigma, 206ESr, 168Sigma, F200A- drivers that I own) because of price, so I'll just say that they are clear sounding like the Lowther without the bite/shout and play louder without distorting. And in my room they measure pretty flat so the clearness is not a result of a rising top end (Lowther and some Fostex). Easily and by far the best wide range driver I have heard.I could have saved a lot of time and money if I listened to all the drivers first. I heard the 47 Labs Hotei (?) speaker, that I think, uses the Hartley (+ separate tweeter) and was underwhelmed. The speakers had no tonal discrimination and overall dull sound (heavy cone?). I suggest you hear before you buy.
I don't like the slow loose sound and lack of viscerality that that open baffles produce so I have not tried the Feastrex on an open baffle. The only open baffle that I heard that was pretty good was the PHY 15" coaxial and it was complemented with two subs.
BTW, the JX92s is a very good driver and either the Visaton or the Hemp would not be an upgrade, rather just something different, unless you needed the added efficiency.
