For some, yes, but I don't find it so. My subs as they are placed just now are near the side and front walls but with different spacings from room boundaries. Cables are routed into corners and down the side walls for the 2 subs at the greatest distance.

I think Duke is just trying to get these speakers off the ground right now. The wireless route might be a good one, but personally, I'm in favor of minimizing the amount of RF energy anywhere near my system.
