Thanks for your responses. As usual your comments are fair, generous and informative. I did not intend to hijack the thread. I just expanded on Triamp's post.

What type of recordings have the "deep room shuddering" bass, other than home theatre? Are you talking in absolute terms, (say, about the frequency range below 20Hz) or any frequency range that happens to fall in the pressure zone for a given room? What was your room size at RMAF 2008?
