Hi Andy,Pardon me for butting in, but I thought I'd pass this along. My almost-stock 1.6's (no fuse and Cardas binding posts) generate enough post-bass-drum-strike rumble at the beginning of the second track of the Jerry Goldsmith Film Music SACD (Telarc) to "roll up" my listening room's ground slab and send the decay vibration up my legs. So the source material may have something to do with what Alan experiences. (And I have to admit to a guilty-pleasure smile whenever I have someone over who says "but they don't do bass" and watch his expression at the moment of impact when I cue that track. That's when the doubters start looking around all over to see where I have the subwoofer hidden. :-) )
