the 3.6s are indeed "reference quality" and will show you the "difference" of any amp you care to throw at them.Having said that, I suggest you have 2 choices re. amps:
1. Replace your 50w Jolida with, as you say, some reference-level tube monoblocks ... like, say, VTLs. However, these have to be pretty damn monstrous beasts IMO, in terms of their output (yes, I know you said you listened to the 3.6s pretty loud with your Jolida but I suggest once you have them in your own room and have listened to them a while, you'll realise the "problems" inherent with driving them with 50 watts).
2. Keep your Jolida for the mids/ribbons and get a second amp for the bass panels. Yes, the 3.6 is set up to passively bi-amp but you'll get a better sound by actively bi-amping (ie. replacing that external passive crossover box with an active crossover - preferably IMO with the same slopes, not 24dB Linkwitz-Riley).
And I suspect the best bass amp will be an ss amp.
