SMGA's making a strong case for themselves ...

I just unhooked my VMPS RM 40's, and decided to try the SMGA's out in the big room, just for kicks.
I literally drug em out, and hooked em up, paying no attention to where the tweeters are, and I still haven't looked!

This time, I placed em wide apart, and within 15 minutes I had em imaging all over the place, and sounding great!

I like them, and I like them a lot!

Why ?

Becasue they get the midrange right, and maintain musical timbre, are punchy, and image 3 dimensionally.

The extreme top end is a little veiled, and they are just a little thick in the lower mids, but they have a listen to them forever quality, and also play pretty loud.

I MUCH prefer them to the MG 3A's I used to own.

I know there is someone else here, maybe Peter Gunn, or is it Green Lantern, that likes them as well ?

But, for just literally slappin them in the system, they are making a very strong case for themselves.

They sound like Music, and are imaging 3 dimensionally, and believe it or not, they play pretty loud.

I mean loud enough for me, MOST of the time ...

Unlike the MG3A's, the music sounds like it is cut from the same sonic cloth, they never call attention to themselves.

One is just left with a seamless panoramic of Music floating in space, very nice.

And, the little bastards have bass too, even in this big room.

God ... and to think I almost sold them .....
