Is the tube trap in your room analogouus to a port on a speaker enclosure? In that case would a BassBox type program give you the proper length & then tweak w/ amount of stuffing? Or, is it more akin to a TL where wavelength is the issue?BTW, would not securing the traps inherently make them no longer portable? I wonder if an in wall installment would achieve a better WAF approval? Of couse after you'v tweaked them. But the elbows sound ideal to secure a PVC mounting plate to. I'm new to this so I could be way off base, but it's just a thought.
