I'm afraid your argument avoids the simple fact that all wire and all cables are directional. Continuous Cast wires or single crystal wires might be exceptions. For the present, with existing technology, the real question is what to do about it - directionality. The answer is very simple. You have to try all cables and fuses in both directions. Power cords - stranded and in stranded, HDMI cables, interconnects, they're all directional, even the wiring in transformers, capacitors, internal speaker wiring, inductors. Many people may have difficulty hearing the difference when reversing just one fuse, but as more and more cables and fuses are correctly inserted into the system, with improving resolution and SQ it will be easier to identify the change to the sound when the direction is correct for subsequent cables/fuses. If someone has multiple fuses in his system, their proper orientation must be established one fuse at a time.
