have you ever applied any kind of damping compound to a turntable suspension? speaker stand? equipment rack? How about fiddlin' with bricks, blocks, sand boxes, etc, on top or under components?If so, the application of plumbers putty or Mortite to the horns and atttaching Deflex to the enclosure walls is in the same league of difficulty.
One step up is replacing the Xover parts with better quality. A little soldering of the saqme values with better quality and you are there.
Now, I understand that some folks don't want to do these things and that's fine. But that doesn't alter my opinion that if one is willing to take the trouble, the result will be superior to a conventional box speaker. YMMV.
