I aold Klipsch speakers back in the mid 70's, and even owned a pair of the big K-Horns that I bought for half price "salesman accomodation." We sold tons of Cornwalls as people were initially impressed with the big dynamic sound. They did sound pretty decent with some of the McIntosh gear that we also sold. These speakers have many response peaks and can greatly exaggerate high frequency distortion.
I sold my K-Horns after a couple of years. This was after I heard a pair of Magneplanar Tympanies that made me realize just how much I had been missing. I lived with the Maggies for about 7 years and sometimes still miss their big, musical sound.
In today's world there are alot more musical and natural sounding speakers than the Cornwall's at the same price point. But for people that play rock music at deafening levels, they are a legitimate choice, as they will play quite loudly without falling apart. Regards, HiFi Guy
