Anyone who cares a whit for rock 'n' roll must own a copy of Elvis' "Sun Sessions", his earliest recordings. They are unquestionably the most important records in the history of the genre, and are also astoundingly great performances. I think it was Steve Simels who described "Milkcow Blues Boogie" as the sound of a man who knows that, at that moment, he is the greatest singer in the universe.
