Come on Rod, no one is saying that "all" amplifiers sound the same. The famous amp DBT in Stereophile proved that, and on line, one can see the same thing from the measurements of tube amplifiers on the Stereophile and Soundstage site.

Again, no one is saying that everyone's hearing capabilities are the same.

Sounds like a personal problem to me. Now, for some reason, you don't like qualifications such as "when operated within their design limits." Most $100 receivers probably are not designed to drive 2 ohm loads at the kinds of levels you like. Why should this bother you?

As for a lot of other things, some of us are just waiting for some proof they do sound different in ordinary use--to anyone, golden ears or not. Those 3 foot interconnects and 10 foot speaker cables, for example (some of them do but for pretty obvious reaons, as SEJ says). Complaining that various DBTs are invalid does not disprove the null hypothesis.
