Scientific trials of a significant nature often require large sums of money ,time, and expertise develped over many years. Even given these precautions , it is difficult to be defineitively sure about the results until multiple other studies confirm the results.
Getting a bunch of enthusiasts together with varying degrees of astutesness ( did they have their hearing tested), equipment quality etc. and then declaring their DBT findings definitive is simply not good enough for me. I hear differences that are important to me ( the increasing importance of smaller differences) and I am not easily swayed by someone saying it is not possible given the present stage of investigation.
