Don't forget that your tube amp is OTL which is as direct as the Gaincard. Normal SET amp's sound is dictated by the output transformer. I recokn it is not what device the amps are used that count. It is how it implemented. Some tube amps can be very transitory and bright. The ultimate sound is that I don't want to hear neither SS nor tube sonic signature from my system. I just want music and the Gaincard is one of those amps. The speaker binding posts work very well with solid core cable and it so happens are the cables that the Gaincard likes most. By using the thin solid core speaker cables, the weight is light and you won't unbalance the Gaincard.Paul Lam
