I dont disagree with anything you say. But I just ran across something that illustrates my point. A guy in the Speakers section of AA (I saw this just a few minutes ago) is seeking upgrading advice. He now has an NAD 314 amp, Rega Planar 3 and Planet, and B&W 302 speakers. He is told by one advisor that the amp is the weak link in the system. INMHO that guy has a long way to go on speaker trail before his amp is put to shame--unless, of course, he gets a speaker that needs more power than the NAD can deliver. The system as it stands is in good shape as far as amp and sources are concerned, and fancy cables at this point would be a total waste of money.
